The PV4, also known under the brand name MC4 (Multi Contact), are the
standard plug connectors for photovoltaic systems.
They are suitable for both serial and parallel cabling and can be used for both
building-integrated and free-standing solar systems.
The connectors consist of a housing that is protected against water and dust in accordance with IP68
(when plugged in), and a metal pin that is crimped onto the cable and makes the actual contact.
The plug contacts are certified to IEC 62852 to ensure safety and quality.
